With many years of experience in music lessons, Ken Ard provides award-winning instruction to his students. He is motivated by their love of music and the passion to transfer their knowledge and skills to others so their creativity and talent can shine. Ken Ard’s private student, Elizabeth Hull, successfully tested out of her last two years of High School and is now in her third year of college at Berklee School of Jazz on full scholarship in the Fall of 2017. She attended the Berklee Summer Camp on full scholarship and remains in Boston continuing her college studies. She has created and performs with her group ATOMIC GUAVA.
Ard has had a total of four students admitted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, including CHASE MORRIN, who received a double degree from New England Conservatory and Harvard, then a Masters in Jazz Piano from Berklee, and is now a member of the faculty at Berklee.
Ard currently sits on the faculty of Grossmont College in San Diego.
Ard is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, previously holding various Board positions, including first Vice-President, and Bach Festival Chair. He is also a member of The Jazz Education Network, and regularly attends the yearly Conference.
