I maintain a private piano teaching studio in my home. My students range from ages
6 - 68, studying both classical and non-classical idioms, including jazz, pop, blues, and rock.
I am a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, formerly serving as Vice-President, director of the Bach Festival, and Cal Plan Chair.
I have been playing music professionally since the age of twelve. I worked my way through college by playing rock and jazz gigs in New Orleans and along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I have taught classes at Grossmont College in El Cajon, CA, since 1987. I also teach at San Diego Mesa College.
I wrote, produced, did musical direction, and performed in two original musical theater works, The Delta Queen, and Storyville, a Sweet, Sportin’ Proposition.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Music from the University of New Orleans,
and a Master’s Degree (MMA) in Piano Performance from The University of Southern Mississppi.
I play and sing for many parties and other events, either as a solo pianist and singer, or with my group, Etouffee.
